Córdoba native Hugo Nazar was on the verge of winning his first Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) title, but had to settle for second place.

That was in event #. 6 LAPT/BSOP Music Festival High Roller One Day, held in Iguazu City. The tournament had 58 entrants and a prize fund of R$8,000 ($1,536), with R$390,820 ($75,038) awarded to nine finalists.

Hugo finished second in the heads-up competition, losing to local Waldir Guerra, who won R$ 83,000 (USD 15,936). This is his sixth prize at the BSOP, adding to his seven cashes at the 2023 Las Vegas tournament. He has earned $334,000 in live tournaments and ranks 69th on Argentina’s all-time money list.
